As anyone living in the UK knows there’s barely been a patch of blue sky during April and May. For a photographer The Elvetham is the type of venue where you really, really want it to be dry as the garden and grounds are stunning. For Linda & Rob’s wedding (for the most part!) it did stay dry for all the important moments. It was also great to get out in the evening to have some fun with sparklers and torches – that’s right torches, scroll down towards the bottom of this post!!

Weddings can be difficult to plan a the best of times, this wedding was arranged from Sweden which seems incredible given how wonderful the day was! Suzan & Jonas were married at Gosfield Hall in Essex with guests travelling from Sweden, France and Turkey. It was one of those beautiful sunny February winter days which was deserving of such a lovely couple…

London Bride 2012

One of my favourite weddings of 2012 was Kelly & Ross’s beach wedding at The Gallivant in East Sussex. Whilst their guests picnicked in the Camber Sands dunes we used the wonderful beach backdrop to get some beautiful photographs. Though a beach wedding might seem a little bizarre featuring in a magazine called London Bride it’s there in glorious blue sky and technicolor! The magazine is available in and around London and is a great source of inspiration for those getting married… I’m looking forward to shooting several weddings at The Gallivant this year and making each one unique – here’s a reminder of Kelly & Ross’s day…

Photographing weddings during the festive season is always a joy particularly at a such a beautiful venue as Loseley House, which at Christmas time looks extra special. Emily & Tristan enjoyed a wonderful crisp, bright winters day which kicked off the festive season for their guests and for me!

Cassie & Jason

Cassie & Jason were married at Cassie’s local church in Surrey before heading off to Frensham Heights to celebrate. The late autumn sun in England has been a wonderful surprise and allowed us to head into the beautiful grounds at Frensham for photographs. When I met Cassie & Jason in Islington for their pre-wedding photo shoot Cassie had mentioned that she had a thing for phone boxes and that there was an old style red phone box in the Frensham grounds – the phone box and late afternoon sun made a great backdrop! As the guests partied the evening away a photo booth and fancy dress was on hand to catch them in all their glory….

Lowri & Neil

Lowri & Neil were married in their local village church before heading off to the wonderful Chilston Park for their reception. Chilston has a mixture of beautiful grounds and some stunning rooms in side the building, none more so than the main staircase adorned with some stunning artwork and mirrors. Lowri & Neil brought a touch of Wales to their day with their colour scheme

Home House is a place that I could not tire of photographing, green park and central London streets outside, a fascinating building and uniquely styled rooms inside…and oh that staircase! I was delighted to photograph Michelle & Stew’s wonderful wedding at Home House. Michelle (a fantastic designer www.michellefiedler.co.uk) created everything from the invite through to the orders of service, menu’s and table settings which all looked exquisite, perfectly suited for such a stylish wedding venue and wedding day… A special mention to Purely Events who one again put on an incredible event…

Barbara & Phil

I was delighted when Barbara & Phil asked me to photograph their wedding at Darver Castle in Ireland – the one thing you can guarantee in Ireland is good hospitality and a party! Barbara and her wedding party got ready at her parents house in Swords near Dublin before heading further north to Darver near Dundalk. It was a wonderful day and an absolute pleasure to photograph.

Suzy & Ian were married at the Chelsea Registry office on the Kings Road before heading off to the exclusive Hurlingham Club to celebrate their wedding. Suzy looked like she’d walked straight out of a classic 1950′s Hollywood movie – absolutely stunning. I’ve processed one of the images below with that vintage Hollywood look… In In the run up to their wedding Ian showed me a photograph of his mother and fathers wedding which we tried to recreate in the car shot below! After a summer of rain it was great to get some late Autumnal sun…
